Pastor Ted Harris was born in Miami, Florida and raised in Augusta, Georgia. Pastor Harris is the apprentice of Pastor Emeritus and Founder Dr. C.O. Searcy. Serving as Senior Pastor of The House of Love Church, Pastor Harris is an exceptionally unique and spiritual young man. At the age of 11 years old he was led to Christ by a neighbor and, in 1993, he realized that God had a special work for him to do and he rededicated his life to God. Pastor Harris recognized that he had a divine calling, that his life was not his own, and he was ready to follow God wherever He led him.

After working for almost nine years on his job in Augusta, God led Pastor Harris to resign and move to Dallas to attend college. Like Abraham, God was sending him into an unknown land, where he knew no one, but God. Having felt God's leading, he followed Him to one of the greatest divine appointments of his life, meeting Dr. C.O. Searcy while  working at a local store.

A graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute's School of Pastoral and Theology programs, Pastor Harris has also earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from Dallas Baptist University.  Currently, Pastor Harris is a graduate student at Liberty University pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies. He graduated from Leadership Southwest on May 22, 2008. In the past, Pastor Harris served on numerous committees and boards, Dallas County Welfare Board, City of Dallas Martin Luther King, Jr Board, Southeast Dallas Civic Association Board, University of North Texas(Dallas) forward Dallas Area Planning Committee. 

Pastor Harris is working earnestly to be about God's business. Being able to learn from and be  nurtured by Dr. Searcy, one of God's most devoted and committed servants, is truly a blessing to Pastor Harris. Like Dr. Searcy, Pastor Harris has a love for people, and a passion for children who need to know God and know that God loves them.

With the wisdom of God, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the love and instruction from Dr.  Searcy, Pastor Harris has dedicated his life and service to the children of God and the work of the  Ministry of Jesus Christ our Lord.
